Firefighters battles blaze at McKees Rocks building

McKEES ROCKS, Pa. — Firefighters from multiple fire departments responded to a two-alarm fire at an industrial building in McKees Rocks Tuesday afternoon.

The flames were reported just after 4 p.m. at a building near the intersection of Bradley Street and Island Avenue. Authorities said the flames were brought under control about 30 minutes later.

Channel 11’s Brandon Hudson reported that the fire started on the inside of the building where cardboard is piled up. The flames were near a propane tank, which caused a concern for firefighters while they extinguished the blaze.

No injuries were reported in the fire that caused some minor structural damage.

The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
