Firefighters rescue elderly woman from burning row home

BELLEVUE, Pa. — Firefighters battled a blaze at a row home Tuesday afternoon in Bellevue.

The flames were reported in the basement of one of the units at a Grant Street row home about 3 p.m. The first floor of that unit collapsed.

An elderly woman who lived next door had to be helped out by firefighters. Her home wasn’t damaged -– officials said she was evacuated as a precaution.

No injuries were reported, and the cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
