Firefighters rescue man trapped on roof of burning Troy Hill home

PITTSBURGH — Firefighters rescued a man trapped on the roof of a burning Troy Hill home late Thursday night.

Officials said a home on Traux Way caught fire just after 11 p.m. and flames spread to the house next door.

When firefighters arrived at the scene they were able to get the man down with a ladder. Paramedics checked him out, and he was not injured.

The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
