PITTSBURGH - A former Marine is raising money for a charity dedicated to improving the lives of children in hospitals across the country.
A ride from Boston to Seattle will be dedicated to Jay Knight's late friend who wanted to be a video programmer.
Donations go to the organization Child’s Play, which provides games and toys to patients and families in the hospital.
"Any child that comes in here, we want to provide the best environment for them and sometimes it’s riding a bike coast to coast,” said Joey Warren of Child’s Play.
Knight will travel to 24 hospitals in 142 days. He’s hoping to raise $100,000.
