Giant Eagle recalls Candy Place Chocolate Santas

PITTSBURGH — Giant Eagle has issued a recall on packages of Candy Place Chocolate Santas because they may contain peanuts, which are not listed on the ingredients label.

The candy was sold in 11-ounce packages in chocolate, caramel and peanut butter varieties with the UPC code 3003407341.

Although the peanut butter-filled variety of the candies reference “peanut butter,” peanuts are not listed as an ingredient.

The chocolates do not pose a health concern for people who do not have a peanut allergy.

The product can be returned to any Giant Eagle for a full refund.
