PITTSBURGH - Thousands of people participated in the 12th annual Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community Saturday morning on the North Shore.
Channel 11’s Peggy Finnegan was on hand for the event, which took place at Stage AE.
The event included a 5k walk and 1-mile fun walk, and raised money for 69 nonprofit health and human services organizations. The walk also encouraged people to have a greater hand in their own health.
More than 8,000 people were in attendance.
