House fire at Hidden Valley shuts down skiing operations

HIDDEN VALLEY, Pa. — A fire at Hidden Valley Resort shut down skiing operations early Monday.

A house caught fire around 3 p.m.

Officials said no one was inside when the fire started.

The house sits off the slopes but skiers and snowboarders could see the flames and smoke through the woods.

The Special Olympics Winter Games were taking place at the time, and the resort stopped activity and closed the slopes early.
