Indiana Co. interchange dedicated to veteran

BURRELL TOWNSHIP, Pa. — An interchange in Burrell Township, Indiana County, was dedicated on Saturday in honor of a Homer City native who was killed in Afghanistan.

The interchange at the intersection of routes 119 and 22 was named the Staff Sgt. Glen Stivison, Jr. Memorial Interchange during a ceremony at the Blairsville Park and Ride.

Stivison was killed during a tour of duty in October 2009.

His brother, Bill Stivison, said, "He was definitely a guy that if you followed in his footsteps, that would be a good thing."

Glen Stivison was a graduate of Blairsville High School.
