INDIANA COUNTY, Pa. - The mother of a toddler who drowned in the family’s bathtub withdrew her guilty plea Monday and is set to go to trial.
Tonya Thomas pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter and child endangerment in January.
State police in Indiana County said her son died after he was found face down in a bathtub last year.
Investigators said Thomas left her 13-month old son, Ryden, with his two siblings while she texted and did chores.
Thomas’ husband, Wesley Thomas, pleaded guilty to charges in August.
An exact date for Tonya Thomas' trial has not been set.
