Investigators looking for man who robbed Castle Shannon Subway at gunpoint

CASTLE SHANNON, Pa. — Police are looking for a man who robbed a Subway restaurant Wednesday afternoon in Castle Shannon.

Investigators said the man was seen outside the Subway on Library Road looking in the front window about 3 p.m.

According to police, as soon as customers left the store, the man walked in holding a black handgun and demanded the clerk open the cash register.

Investigators said the man fled with an undisclosed amount of cash and coins. He was last seen heading toward Rockwood Avenue on foot.

Police said the man is over 6 feet tall and was wearing a black hat or large black hooded sweatshirt. He was also wearing a mask or some type of goggles, and black cloth gloves.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to contact police.
