PITTSBURGH - Authorities are investigating after shots were fired during a fight Tuesday morning in the Hill District.
According to police, shots were fired in the area of De Ruad and Wyandotte streets, just off Fifth Avenue leaving downtown, around 10:30 a.m.
Investigators said a man was beaten up in a fight, ran to get a gun and fired shots into a crowded street.
“We were just caught in the middle of it,” one witness told Channel 11’s Brandon Hudson.
Channel 11 News was there as officers discovered a shell casing likely tied to the shooting. Investigators also found a gun nearby, and they’re looking into whether it’s tied to the incident.
“It happens all the time on this street,” said someone who lives in the neighborhood.
So far, no arrests have been made.
