Jury deliberating fate of Washington Co. man accused in 2009 double slaying

WASHINGTON, Pa. — A jury will continue deliberating the fate of a Washington County man accused of killing two men outside a Washington bar in 2009 on Friday.

Gregory Avery is charged with criminal homicide and conspiracy in the February 2009 slayings of 23-year-old Troy Saunders Jr. and 24-year-old Marquis Taylor outside the Cabaret West bar.

Channel 11’s Cara Sapida reported the jury deliberated on Thursday until about 3 p.m., when the judge sent them home for the day.
