Landslide causes traffic mess on Allegheny River Boulevard

PITTSBURGH — A landslide caused a traffic mess on Allegheny River Boulevard Wednesday.

The boulevard was shut down between Washington Boulevard and Nadine Road.

The landslide happened around 3 p.m., shutting the roadway down.

By 5 p.m., both lanes were back open but traffic was slow going.

It's possible the wet weather contributed to the landslide, officials said.
