Lotto ticket worth $4.3M sold in Allegheny County

PITTSBURGH — A jackpot-winning Match 6 Lotto ticket worth $4.3 million for Thursday's drawing was sold in Allegheny County, officials said Friday.

The ticket correctly matched all six winning numbers, 10-13-21-23-24-48, to win $4.3 million, less 25 percent federal withholding. This jackpot, which started rolling in early May, is the game's fifth-largest on record.

According to lottery officials, the ticket was sold at the 7-Eleven on Camp Hollow Road in West Mifflin.

The retailer will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the jackpot-winning ticket.

"I hope it's somebody I know.  I checked mine. I didn't win," said worker Joe Huckestein.

"That's amazing.  Right up the street?  I should have been the one to buy a ticket," said customer Laura Marie Yasko.

The prize must be claimed and ticket validated before the winner can be identified. Match 6 winners have one year from the drawing date to claim prizes.

The lottery encourages the holder of the winning ticket to sign the back of the ticket, call the lottery at 717-702-8146 and file a claim at lottery headquarters in Middletown, Dauphin County, or at any of lottery's seven area offices.

There were 143,407 other prize-winning Match 6 tickets sold for Thursday's drawing, so all players are reminded to check their tickets.

The largest Match 6 Lotto jackpot on record was a more than $7.3 million prize won by a ticket sold in Cambria County for the Oct. 3, 2013, drawing. Match 6 Lotto debuted in 2004.
