GREENSBURG, Pa. - A man is accused of bringing 13 bags of heroin into the Greensburg Courthouse Tuesday.
Channel 11’s Joe Holden reported Scott Burbidge of Jeannette walked through the metal detector and it went off.
Holden reported officers found 13 bags of heroin labeled “gambler” in the man's pocket. Five were empty, according to arrest papers.
Officials said Burbidge was at the courthouse to renew his gun permit.
Judge James Albert set a $75,000 bond on a possession charge.
"When something happens here at the courthouse, it's part of my district, it comes to me. I'm almost at a loss for words. It doesn't reflect well. Heroin is certainly a detriment to society. We have a ripple effect because of the heroin,” said Albert.
