Man accused of robbing Bloomfield post office at gunpoint

PITTSBURGH — A federal grand jury indicted a Bloomfield man accused of robbing a post office at gunpoint, according to court documents unsealed Monday.

Joseph Filbert, 50, made off with $569 from the Dec. 14, 2011, heist, prosecutors said.

The grand jury indicted him on Wednesday and law enforcement officers arrested him on Friday, according to court records.

U.S. Postal Inspectors said the suspect lifted his hoodie to show a gun in his waistband while he demanded money.
