PITTSBURGH - A drone seen hovering over PNC Park Thursday night prompted an investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration.
The drone flew over the ballpark during Thursday’s Pirates game against the New York Mets.
According to the Tribune-Review, security at PNC Park located the drone’s owner outside of the stadium and told him that he could not fly it over the park. He complied and was not arrested.
It is illegal to fly a drone over densely populated areas.
