PITTSBURGH - A man was found shot to death in Homewood after police were called for reports of gunshots early Sunday morning.
According to police, a 911 caller said they heard about six shots and saw three men running into a nearby park. When officers began searching the area near Brushton Avenue and Race Street shortly after 1 a.m., a passerby helped locate a man who was face down in a grassy area in the 1000 block of Brushton Avenue.
Paramedics pronounced the man dead about 1:30 a.m. His name has not been released.
Homicide detectives are investigating.
