PITTSBURGH - Police are investigating after a man walked into the emergency room early Monday morning with a gunshot wound in the head.
Investigators said the victim had shots fired into his car at the corner of Woodlow and Crucible streets in Crafton Heights about 2 a.m.
The 22-year-old victim from McKees Rocks said he was sitting in the back seat of a friend's car outside the Greenway Apartments when a man fired one shot at the back window.
The driver of the car immediately drove away and dropped off the victim at Allegheny General Hospital. The driver and another passenger in the car weren't hurt.
Authorities said the victim, whose name has not been released, was conscious and in good condition. The bullet didn’t penetrate his skull.
So far no arrests have been made, and police are asking anyone with information on the shooting to contact them.
