WASHINGTON, Pa. - Authorities continue to investigate after a man was shot several times near two churches in Washington County Wednesday night.
Police told Channel 11’s Jennifer Tomazic that 33-year-old Daniel Jordan was shot in the stomach around 7 p.m. in the area of North Franklin and West Walnut streets in Washington.
Jordan was rushed to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital where he remains on a ventilator.
Jordan’s family said he is originally from Pittsburgh but has been living in Washington for about a dozen years.
So far, no arrests have been made and authorities said they don’t have any solid suspects.
Detectives said they believe the shooter fled the scene on foot and there was only one shooter.
Investigators said there were a lot of people in the area at the time because two churches were having Ash Wednesday services. Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to contact police.
