PITTSBURGH - A 56-year-old man is facing attempted homicide and aggravated assault charges after police said he stabbed his girlfriend with scissors inside their Brookline home.
Channel 11’s Renee Kaminski reported that Dwayne Craig is accused of stabbing his girlfriend, the mother of his two children, in the chest, head and shoulder Sunday morning inside their Maytide Street home after getting upset over the TV volume.
Police said Craig was standing on the front porch of the home when they arrived. He was crying and covered in blood, police said.
Investigators said the woman was stabbed with such force that the scissors broke.
The alleged victim, whose name hasn’t been released, remains in an Allegheny General Hospital recovering from her injuries.
