AMBRIDGE, Pa. - Authorities are investigating how a man’s body turned up against a barge in the Ohio River near Leetsdale Monday afternoon.
The first report of the body, found near the Port Ambridge Industrial Park, came in about 2:30 p.m. Monday, emergency dispatchers said.
Ambridge Police Chief James Mann told Channel 11 News that the body is that of a white male, about 6 feet 2 inches or 6 feet 3 inches tall, weighing about 250-260 pounds.
Crews at the scene told Channel 11 News that the body had been in the river for about three weeks.
