Megabus cancels plan to move stop from Convention Center

PITTSBURGH — The downtown Pittsburgh Megabus stop is being moved back to the Convention Center.

According to Channel 11’s news exchange partners at TribLIVE, Megabus was going to relocate to Gateway Center, but the owners of Gateway Center threatened to sue because the city did not consult them about the move.

For the time being, Megabus officials said they will continue using the stop at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, despite being asked to stop using it because it interfered with activities at the center.

Megabus is considering another site near the First Avenue garage.
