Motorcyclist killed after crashing into tree ID'd

PITTSBURGH — The medical examiner has identified the motorcyclist killed when his bike hit a tree in Schenley park late Tuesday night.

Authorities said 52-year-old Stephen Carter, of Ambridge, crashed into a tree on Panther Hollow Road Tuesday night.

According to Channel 11's news exchange partners at TribLIVE, several passerbys, including a doctor, performed CPR on Carter until paramedics arrived.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
