Munhall manager taking residents to court over unpaid trash bills

MUNHALL, Pa. — The manager of Munhall says he is on a mission to collect money owed to the borough and plans on taking people who haven’t paid their trash bills to court.

Bob Callen was brought in to manage the borough after former manager, Matt Galla, resigned. Galla was arrested in April on charges of embezzling more than $230,000.

Callen says since he’s taken office, he wants to collect money owed to the borough. Callen said he is campaigning to collect unpaid trash bills from 2008 to 2013.

So far this year, the borough’s collection agency has received $90,000 in delinquent fees.
