AMBRIDGE, Pa. - A popular bar in Ambridge, that was just recently purchased and renovated by a new owner, was heavily damaged in an early morning fire Wednesday.
The fire happened at Rook’s Bar on Fourth Street around 1 a.m., officials said.
Channel 11’s Dave Bondy spoke to the new owner, who said he recently invested a large sum of money into the business.
“We bought the place two months ago today,” said owner Martin Costanza. “We redid the whole restaurant. Like I said, it was my wife’s dream. I don’t know what we’re going to do.”
The top portion of the building has an abandoned apartment, and the bottom is home to the bar and restaurant. No injuries were reported.
So far, the cause of the blaze has not been determined.
