SHALER TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Thursday marks the third day of a teacher’s strike in the Shaler Area School District.
Wednesday night, both sides met for more than three hours and no deal was made.
Teachers have been working without a contract for two years. Officials said the teacher’s union and the school board are unable to agree on salary and health care contributions, among other things.
Another negotiation session is set for Monday.
