North Hills dog camp voluntarily closes as stomach bug goes around

NORTH HILLS, Pa. — A North Hills dog camp decided Tuesday to temporarily close its doors after some of the dogs became sick.

Officials at Camp Bow Wow in the North Hills posted a sign on its door that said the location will be closed until May 2.

The camp said it closed voluntarily because a general stomach bug has been going around. It’s not life-threatening but it’s contagious and can last up to a week, officials said.

If your dog is showing symptoms of vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite or sluggishness -- the camp is asking that you notify them and take your dog to the vet.
