PITTSBURGH — Channel 11 News has learned that an off-duty police officer was arrested Monday on the South Side and charged with driving under the influence.
According to police, Officer Mike Lafferty was placed on desk duty pending an internal investigation.
Lafferty was one of six officers honored for their efforts in saving a newborn baby who was kidnapped from Magee-Womens Hospital in 2012.
