WILKINSBURG, Pa.,None - Investigators are still trying to find out what started a deadly fire in Wilkinsburg early Sunday morning.
The fire was contained to a second-floor bedroom of a West Street home and was put out quickly.
Pittsburgh Assistant Fire Chief Thomas Cook said the fire started in a back bedroom and trapped the person inside.
"All I know is we had working smoke detectors inside the home,” Cook said. “The deceased has not been positively identified yet. The medical examiner is going to take care of it for us."
The medical examiner said it may take a few days before they identify the man.
Neighbors said another person inside the house managed to escape.
The fire caused extensive damage to the second floor of the house, officials said.
Fire marshals are investigating the cause of the fire.
