Parents beware: Addictive drink dubbed ‘sizzurp' proving deadly among teens

NEW YORK — It’s called “sizzurp,” and despite its funny name, there is nothing funny about it.

Doctors said teenagers are using the concoction of soda, candy and prescription cough syrup with codeine in to get high.

NBC’s national investigative reporter Jeff Rosen reported that doctors are seeing more and more cases of teens hooked on the disturbing drink that has proven deadly. Watch his report below.
