Periods of wet weather possible into Sunday

PITTSBURGH — Widespread showers that moved across the region overnight Friday tapered off by Saturday afternoon, but the chance for rain will continue through Sunday.

Saturday's showers brought just over an inch of rain to Pittsburgh International Airport.

Severe Weather Team 11 meteorologist Kevin Benson said some areas will see isolated showers into the evening on Saturday.

Sunday will be warmer and more humid with a high around 79. The potential for a few isolated showers remains in the forecast Sunday, but many hours of the day will be dry.

Temperatures will reach into the 80s through Thursday.
