Pipes burst in Adams Township, flood businesses

ADAMS TOWNSHIP, Pa. — The bitter cold is to blame for pipes bursting in Adams Township.

The problem started with a pipe inside a bathroom of a vacant store.  The pipe burst and sent water all over the floor.

The Verizon store and Gilded Lily shop were flooded as well.

"We're cutting out carpet and cutting the drywall insulation," said Jim McAfee of the restoration crew.

The businesses were closed Monday.
