Pit bull attacks 3 people, 2 dogs in Stowe Township

STOWE TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Three people and two small dogs were attacked by a pit bull in Stowe Township Tuesday.

Channel 11's Renee Kaminski reported that a woman was walking her two dogs, named Benjamin and Butters, when she was bitten trying to protect them.

Benjamin and Butters are OK, but the woman's husband said it was a close call.

"I just talked to her a little bit ago, and she said her heart is still pounding and her chest is still tight," said neighbor Jim Steele.

Kaminski has learned that an 11-year-old was among the three people bitten in the attack and is currently being treated at an area hospital.

Residents of the Preston neighborhood in Stowe Township said unleashed dogs are a big problem. Neighbors said a Siberian husky was attacked a few weeks ago.

"We don't want to see this happen to our pets or anyone else's pets," said neighbor Pamela Patton.
