Father accused of assaulting his 7-month-old son

PITTSBURGH —
A Pittsburgh father is accused of assaulting his 7-month-old son.

According to police, Shakeem Davis, 24, assaulted his son on Saturday inside his Wilner Driver home.

The baby's mother told police she was at a family reunion and not home.

When the mother returned home, Davis said he had slapped the baby for excessive crying, police said.

Investigators said there was severe bruising all over the baby's face.

The baby is recovering from injuries, and Davis is wanted on aggravated assault and child endangerment charges.
