Police: $2 million Aliquippa business park fire is arson

ALIQUIPPA, Pa. (AP) — A state police fire marshal says a fire that caused $2 million damage to two businesses at a Beaver County industrial park was intentionally set.

Trooper David Jungling won't say how the fire was set, but said he's helping Aliquippa police investigate Wednesday's fire at the Street Steel Commerce Center.

Master Halco Inc., a fencing company, had its property destroyed while neighboring Metalwerks PMD Inc., which makes specialty metals, suffered smoke and water damage. Both businesses are in the same building.

The fire was reported about 4:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Ten fire companies responded to the blaze. No injuries were reported.
