PITTSBURGH, Pa. - A 3-year-old boy was found wandering the streets alone in Wilkinsburg on Thursday afternoon, police said.
Channel 11’s Pamela Osborne was at the police station Thursday evening where the boy’s mother and grandmother were hoping to be reunited with the child.
According to police, after the family of the child was interviewed, the boy was taken into custody by CYS.
His mother told Pamela that she was at work, and the boy was left in the care of another adult, who was reportedly watching other children at the time.
The toddler wandered off and was later located by police.
A court hearing will be held Friday regarding the matter.
The family hopes to regain custody of the child.
