Police: Carrick residents duped by fake door-to-door fundraising scheme

PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh police said they are working to identify Carrick residents who have recently placed hoagie orders with a woman who came to their doors.

Brentwood  police arrested Angela Sibert, 27, in connection with an alleged fake door-to-door fundraising scheme.

Police said she would take advance payment for hoagies at approximately $6 each.

Police believe Margie Johnson was also involved in the scheme.

The pair solicited at least 95 false hoagie sales in the Carrick area, police said.

Victims are asked to call police.
