PITTSBURGH - A man was arrested Tuesday night after a police chase and crash in the city’s Marshall-Shadeland neighborhood.
Authorities said Rodney Marshman, 22, led police on a chase beginning on Forsythe Street and onto Richardson Avenue before crashing into the front porch of Jackie Grier’s home.
Grier told Channel 11’s Jodine Costanzo that she was upstairs and heard a loud bang. When she came downstairs, she saw the car in her porch.
“I was in my bed and heard a loud crash,” Hrier said. “I went flying down the stairs, ran to the door and saw a car sitting on the front porch.”
Police said Marshman fled the scene on foot and was arrested shortly after the crash on nearby McClure Street.
According to police, officers found cash and heroin in Marshman’s pockets after they arrested him. He is facing several charges including receiving stolen property and drug possession.
