Police: Girlfriend joins boyfriend in Allegheny Co. Jail

HOMESTEAD, Pa. (AP) — A Munhall woman has joined her boyfriend in jail after authorities said they overheard the two discussing plans to eliminate a witness.

Homestead police said 25-year-old Isiah Tooks was arrested on July 31 and charged with aggravated assault, kidnapping and robbery. Tooks allegedly forced a man to go to an ATM and withdraw money at gunpoint.

Authorities said Tooks, of North Versailles, then made phone calls from jail to 38-year-old Spring King. Tooks allegedly told King to make sure the witness to the earlier robbery didn't show up to testify. King allegedly replied, "What do you want me to do, go shoot him, Isiah?"

King was arrested Friday and is being held in the Allegheny County Jail, unable to post $1 million bond.
