PITTSBURGH - Police are investigating a string of car break-ins in Pittsburgh’s East End.
Neighbors said a couple juveniles have been spotted roaming Lyric Street after dark. Ransacked cars have been left open, and empty liquor bottles have been found on the sidewalks.
“They’re trying to break into unlocked vehicles. They’re taking anything they can find – cellphones, sunglasses, money,” said a neighbor.
The break-ins have made neighbors uneasy.
“Everyone works hard on these streets. They try to provide for their families. It’s unfortunate that some folks would take the easy route,” said a neighbor.
Police said officers will ramp up patrols in the area.
