Updated:UNIONTOWN, Pa. (AP) (AP)ong> - Police have charged a defense attorney with bringing heroin and other drugs to his client -- while the client was locked up in a southwestern Pennsylvania county's booking center.
Police charged 34-year-old Uniontown attorney Brian Salisbury on Thursday night, after they said a surveillance camera showed him passing the drugs to a client who was in custody on a bench warrant.
According to police, the client told them he is an addict and prearranged to have Salisbury bring him drugs so he could avoid withdrawal sickness while incarcerated.
Salisbury's free on bond pending a preliminary hearing Tuesday.
