Police locate SUV involved in shooting on Parkway East

PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh police found a Cadillac Escalade Friday night that may have been involved in a shooting on Parkway East.

Police said no one was in the vehicle when it was located on Lorenz Avenue in Pittsburgh’s Elliott neighborhood.

The shooting the vehicle may be connected to happened early Friday morning near the Second Avenue exit, according to authorities.

State police said a woman was in the left lane on the Parkway when someone pulled up beside her and started shooting.

Officials said the woman was hit in the back, and a man in the passenger seat was shot twice.

The pair continued to drive to West Carson Street near the West End Bridge where they got a ride to the hospital from a friend.

Police are still looking for the shooter.
