Police looking for man who drove away from wife, children on Canton Twp. road

CANTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Police are looking for a man who left his wife and children on a road in Canton Township, Washington County Saturday afternoon.

According to police, George Droboj was arguing with his wife, Laura Droboj, while they were driving with their two children on South Hewitt Avenue. At some point, George Droboj grabbed the steering wheel from the passenger seat, causing the vehicle to travel into the oncoming lane before being stopped on the shoulder of the road, authorities said.

Laura Droboj took her children and began to walk away from the vehicle. Police said her husband then began to drive away before turning around and stopping, at which point Laura Droboj tried to reach into a passenger side door to get a jacket. George Droboj proceeded to drive away.

Police have issued a felony warrant for George Droboj. He faces a list of charges, including aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of children and driving while operating privilege is suspended or revoked.
