McKEES ROCKS, Pa.,None - One person was killed late Thursday in a shooting in McKees Rocks, emergency dispatch workers said.
Detectives said Robert McGee, 25, of Pittsburgh’s North Side, was gunned down as he left a house and got into his car along Edgar Way.
Several neighbors called 911 to report the shooting, and McGee’s car was still running as investigators arrived.
Channel 11 News learned McGee,a father of two, was gunned down on his father’s birthday.
“My wife is a little more stressful,” said Bobby McGee. “She won't talk to you. She's a little stressed than I am. I have to be strong for everybody."
“That young man had been visiting a resident there in the Meyers Ridge community. When he exited the house, he got into his car and was shot,” said Lt. Andrew Schurman. “We're trying to figure out the motive."
Investigators spent about 2 hours looking for clues while neighbors looked on.
“I ain't never buried nobody,” said Bobby McGee. “This is my first time. Everything is new to me."
No suspects have been identified. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
