SHENANGO TOWNSHIP, Pa. - A man was hit and killed on Route 422 in Shenango Township, police said.
Charles Bobro, 55, was thrown more than 50 feet Friday night. Police said his shoes and socks were knocked off.
Police said the victim was staying at the Eldorado Motel and was last seen walking to the vending machine by motel workers around 9 p.m.
At 10, Bobro was spotted farther down on Route 422 at the Red Apple Kwik Fill. That service station shuts down at 10, so police believe he continued walking.
He was hit between 10 and 10:30 p.m., and the driver took off, police said.
Police said that part of Route 422 is extremely dark and heavily traveled.
If you have any information, police ask that you call them.
