Police: Masked man attacks victim, steals truck

WASHINGTON, Pa. (AP) — State police continue to search for a masked man who they said forced his way into the home of a 69-year-old southwestern Pennsylvania man, then stole his pickup truck.

Troopers from the Washington, Pa. barracks said the thief knocked on the mobile home door of Harold Sibert, in nearby Canton Township, about 2:30 a.m. Sunday. When Sibert answered, the man forced his way into the residence and hit Sibert in the head, taking his wallet, a coin jar, and the keys to Sibert's truck.

According to police, the man, who was wearing a black ski mask, then drove away in Sibert's truck, a tan 2005 Chevrolet with Pennsylvania license plate YKG-9124.

Police are still searching for the truck and the attacker. Officials said Sibert was treated for head injuries at Washington Hospital.
