PITTSBURGH - Authorities are investigating an alleged theft ring involving high-end vitamins and supplements.
According to police, a man and woman were caught on surveillance cameras stealing expensive products from the GNC store on McKnight Road.
A short time later, investigators said the couple was spotted in a nearby Kmart taking pictures of similar vitamins. They were approached and ran off, police said.
Police told Channel 11’s Jodine Costanzo they believe the pair was taking pictures of the items so they could sell them online or at flea markets.
Detectives said there is a group of people doing similar crimes in and around Pittsburgh.
Anyone with information on the thefts or who recognizes the suspects is asked to contact authorities.
