PITTSBURGH — Police quickly arrested a bank robbery suspect Wednesday afternoon as the man tried to flee.

Authorities said the First Niagara Bank on Perrysville Avenue was robbed just after noon of close to $5,000.

Dispatchers from 911 said the suspect, Nathaniel Washington, was pulled over by police a short time later on Ivory Avenue near Interstate 279.
