Police release footage of Ambridge shootout suspect

AMBRIDGE, Pa. — Police in Ambridge have released surveillance video of a man wanted in connection with a shooting Sunday night.

Authorities told Channel 11's Amy Marcinkiewicz that the man in the video fired several shots during a shootout with another person Sunday night in a neighborhood on Fifth and Melrose streets.

“We don’t know a motive, but the shooting really affected this neighborhood,” said Ambridge police Lt. Brian Jameson.

Stray bullets from the shooting hit several houses, including Bob Basalyga’s.

“It hit this window and they found the casing here,” he said.

Officers hope by released a picture of the man, someone will help identify him. Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to contact police.
